Two Individuals Accused for Inmate Homicide of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins

A pair of suspects stand accused of murder after the death in prison of former Lostprophets singer and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.

Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 stand indicted for homicide and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.

Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after confessing to numerous sex crimes which included the attempted rape of a baby.

Watkins was taken into custody following a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were taken as evidence.
