Helicopter Spirals Wildly into Palm Fronds at Popular Southern California Beach
A helicopter hovering above a popular southern California beach suddenly began spiraling uncontrollably, ultimately dropping height and smashing into a line of palm groves as beachgoers observed.
Footage shared online depict the chopper beginning to twirl near Huntington Beach then plunging in the direction of the edge of the shore, where it gets stuck amidst palms and a set of stairs near the coastal road.
First Aid Information
Emergency responders reported five people were transported to a medical facility including two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the incident on the weekend.
Three people on the street were hurt. Information on their injuries were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
